VestRSU Privacy Policy

VestRSU is a personal RSU and equity-compensation tracking app. Your grants, tax settings, estimates, preferences, and local backups are designed to remain on your device.
Information stored on your device
VestRSU may store the following locally:
- Your name
- Company and grant details
- Vesting dates and share amounts
- Tax assumptions and estimates
- Manually entered prices
- Household totals
- App preferences and reminders
- OCR results from vesting statements
- Locally created backup files
VestRSU does not require an account, broker login, or registration.
Photos and OCR
If you choose to import a vesting statement, VestRSU uses Apple’s Photos and Vision frameworks to process the image on your device. Images and OCR results are not uploaded to VestRSU servers.
Market price lookup
You can always enter prices manually instead.
Backups and exports
VestRSU does not provide iCloud or CloudKit backup or synchronization.
You may create a local JSON backup or export CSV/PDF files using Apple’s system share sheet. Any copy you share is controlled by you and may be stored by the destination you select.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. VestRSU does not receive or store your payment card, bank, or billing information.
Face ID and notifications
Face ID is processed by Apple on your device and is used only to protect access to the app.
If enabled, vest reminders are scheduled through Apple’s local notification system. VestRSU does not send notification analytics to a server.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
VestRSU does not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, user accounts, behavioral tracking, or targeted advertising.
VestRSU does not sell personal information.
Support requests
If you choose “Report a bug” or “Have a feature request?”, VestRSU opens your email app with a prefilled message. VestRSU does not receive your email unless you choose to send it.
Data deletion
You can delete your local VestRSU data by deleting the app or removing the relevant records inside the app. Exported or shared files must be deleted separately from the destination where you saved them.
Children’s privacy
VestRSU is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
